What is an “owner surrender”?
At Ross County Humane Society, we accept dogs and puppies into our adoption program that owners need to re-home. RCHS does not euthanize for space, so we are limited on how many animals we can take in. Owner surrenders are taken on a case by case basis as space in our facility permits.
Steps to enter a pet into our adoption program:
Cost:
Animal surrender fees are $50 per animal. Please note that these fees help keep our shelter running. RCHS does not receive any free veterinary care and operates primarily on donations.
Animal Surrender Questionnaire
Please note that the completion of this form does NOT guarantee your animal will be admitted into the adoption program at RCHS.
RCHS does not receive any support from the Humane Society of the United States. Nor do we receive any federal or state funding sources. We rely largely on donations, fundraisers and grants for our program activities. All donations are tax deductible
