Becoming a volunteer with Ross County Humane Society will help change the lives of animals in need within our program. RCHS recognizes and appreciates the value of a volunteer’s time as well as the importance of being happy and fulfilled in the volunteer work that is performed for our organization.
We have many opportunities for someone to become involved in our program from dog walking to grant writer. We are currentlyaccepting hands-on volunteers 16 years of age and older and must be accompanied while volunteering by a parent or guardian the duration of service. There are many offsite opportunities available for children under the age of 16 to get involved with the shelter. Please email our volunteer coordinator at rosscohumanesociety@gmail.com for more information about our volunteer program.

The Ohio Pet License Plates are Ohio vehicle registration plates with special pet images. The purchase of a special image from the BMV raises funds for spay and neuter of dogs and cats at agencies like humane societies, non-profit dog and cat rescues, and government animal control facilities, helping more homeless animals to find forever homes!
Go to oplates.com to browse the available tags, including cat-friendly, pet-friendly, and dog-friendly plates. Only $25! For more information about the Ohio Pet Fund, go to PetsOhio.com.
