This is the story of our puppy girl Ciara! For my birthday in 2004, my husband consented to letting me get another cat. We decided to adopt. Our family went to the Humane Society to look around.
We went into the dog room by accident, and quickly fell in love with our sweet baby girl. She had just been dropped off with her sisters, and we had to wait until the waiting period was over to go back and get her. Two months after we brought her home, I developed back problems and had to have surgery. A HUGE part of my recovery was my puppy girl. She snuggled with me when I felt bad and got me off my butt for a long walk when I needed to get up and move.
I believe God puts people and animals in your life path. I had no intention of getting another dog when we went to the shelter. But He knew we needed each other. Life is so much better with her in it. Thank you Humane Society for being there for me to get my gift!
